Privacy Policy — Migraine Trigger Tracker

Migraine Trigger Tracker (“the App”) is designed to be an entirely on-device tool. We do not operate any server. The developer has no access to your data.

What the App stores

All migraine logs, HealthKit snapshots, and weather/environment snapshots are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. They never leave your device through any service we operate.

HealthKit

With your explicit permission via iOS HealthKit, the App reads selected health metrics (heart rate, HRV, SpO2, respiratory rate, activity, sleep, and similar) for the sole purpose of statistical analysis displayed inside the App. HealthKit data is not transmitted off-device by the App.

Location

With your explicit permission, the App accesses your device’s approximate location only to query weather and air-quality services for your current area. Location is not retained beyond the time needed for those queries, except as part of the weather/environment snapshot stored locally with each migraine record.

Third-party services the App calls on your behalf

Two external services are called directly from your device:

  1. Apple WeatherKit — provides temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, UV, and sun data. Apple’s privacy practices apply.
  2. OpenWeatherMap (optional) — only used if you provide your own OpenWeatherMap API key in Settings, and only to retrieve air-quality measurements (AQI / PM2.5 / O3 / NO2). Requests use your key, are billed to your account, and are governed by OpenWeatherMap’s terms of service.

The developer of this App does not receive any of the data fetched from these services. Results are captured directly on your device and stored locally.

Analytics and tracking

The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are no marketing identifiers and nothing is sent to us about how you use the App.

Data export

You may manually export your migraine records and a Markdown analysis report from inside the App. Export is always user-initiated; nothing is uploaded automatically.

Data deletion

Uninstalling the App removes all stored records from your device.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The most recent version is always published at https://gyrfalcon4226.github.io/migraine-tracker-site/privacy.
