Frequently asked questions
Why does Analysis say I need more data?
The statistical engine needs at least 5 logged migraine attacks and roughly 30 background snapshots before it can compute meaningful effect sizes. Background snapshots are captured automatically about every four hours when the App has Background App Refresh permission and the device is unlocked at some point during that window.
Why are heart rate and HRV flagged as “Symptom?” in the report?
These metrics shift because a migraine is in progress, not the other way round. The App marks such reverse-causation factors honestly and excludes them from the in-app trigger ranking by default — that way you don’t get a misleading “high heart rate causes migraines” conclusion from your own data.
How do I enable air-quality data?
Air quality (AQI / PM2.5 / O3 / NO2) requires a free OpenWeatherMap API key. Sign up at https://openweathermap.org, then paste the key into the App’s Settings → OpenWeatherMap API Key. There is a “測試 API Key” / “Test API Key” button there that verifies the key works using a Taipei coordinate test call.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. All records are stored on-device using SwiftData. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Can I share my data with a doctor or LLM?
Yes. Use the Markdown report export from the Analysis tab. It produces a self-contained text file you can attach to an email, paste into ChatGPT or Claude, or hand to your clinician.
